welcome: Guest   The Early Childhood Learning Community

Current Location:   Program Plan

The entire 4-year curriculum is presented below. Your options include:

      *   Finish the first 2 years and graduate with an associate's degree,
    *   Complete the entire 180 credit hours to receive a BSEd Early Childhood degree, with a specialization in children ages 0-5.
*   Build on your associate's degree by transferring that credit towards the entire 4-year curriculum! Most students need to complete some additional courses at the AA-level, but they also get credit towards courses at the BSEd level! What a great way to complete your bachelor's degree!

The Early Childhood Education degree programs are designed to enhance your knowledge and skills for your work in preschools and childcare settings. The curriculum includes courses in child development and behavior management as well as coursework in the liberal arts, social sciences, math, science, and humanities. You will have many opportunities to use your new knowledge and skills in your own classroom.

Graduates of the Associate of Applied Science degree may be eligible for the Ohio Pre-Kindergarten Teaching License (providing the student receives a C or above in all early childhood courses at the Associate's degree level). Graduates of the Bachelor degree will complete the requirements for recommendation for Pre-Kindergarten Teaching License, unless equivalent credit is transferred from another institution.
